Discover the 6 Sustainable Management Priorities that guide our environmentally friendly company towards its economic, social, and environmental development

A Message from our CEO

"Our premise is clear: if the world is better, it tastes better. For this reason, we work every day to contribute to the planet and the communities where we operate, with concrete actions that reduce our environmental impact, provide equal opportunities to our employees, and promote sustainable growth with all our stakeholders.”

Driving a More Sustainable Future

Colombina continues to strengthen its position as a global sustainability leader through measurable actions and long-term environmental commitments. Recognized by S&P Global as the fourth-best food company worldwide in sustainability practices (2026), the company has made sustainability a key part of its long-term growth strategy. Today, more than 36,000 solar panels power Colombina’s operations, helping reduce its carbon footprint by 45%. Through advanced treatment and reuse systems, the company has also achieved a 30% reduction in water use. In addition, its Zero Waste Certified facilities now reduce, reuse, or recover 84% of production waste, reinforcing Colombina’s commitment to building a more sustainable future.

Colombina’s wager on renewable energy:

In alliance with CEO - Compañía Energética de Occidente (Occidental Energy Company), we built a solar energy self-generation plant in Santander de Quilichao, Cauca. As a leading energy services company in the Cauca region, CEO strongly advocates for environmental practices, making them an ally for our sustainable efforts. In 2020, we embarked on a project to create a 22,000-square-meter solar energy plant next to our baked goods plant with 4,890 panels producing more than 2,716,000 kWh/year of energy. This value corresponds to 20% of the food plant's annual energy consumption contributing to reducing more than 1,000 tons of CO2 annually.
